About S’Ankh Emma

In ancient Egyptian belief, artists were seen as those who brought life into the world through creation; transforming emotion, and spirit into something tangible. Most importantly shaping history as paintings, sculptures and other art forms. That's where I got the word "S'Ankh" from, it means "life giver" and "artist".

My name is Emma, and I’m the artist behind S’Ankh, and my goal has always been finding a way to express myself and share my art with the world. I grew up surrounded by creativity; my family lived through music, color, and imagination. Even when life pulled them away from their art, that creative spark stayed with me. It became my compass, guiding me back to myself through every brushstroke and creation.

S’Ankh began during the pandemic (2020), when I started creating art as a way to stay afloat, both financially and emotionally. But what began as a survival project grew into something far deeper. I realized art wasn’t just a passion; it was the one thing that made me feel like I am truly myself.

My journey has taken my work to unexpected places; from small exhibitions and local festivals in my hometown to the hands of travelers who carried my art across the world. Knowing that a piece of my spirit exists in distant homes, in lives I’ll never meet, feels like quiet magic.

I studied History of Art at university, where I immersed myself in Egyptian art and symbolism — though my fascination with Egypt began long before that. I’ve felt drawn to it's culture, mysticism, and timeless beauty for as long as I can remember. That influence still flows through my art, blending with my love for mythology, folklore, and the natural world.

My creative process is deeply intuitive. I approach every piece with intention, blending emotion, energy, and purpose into whatever I make. Though I don’t follow any specific religion, I connect strongly to the spiritual side of life: Nature and all of its beings. I believe everything we create holds energy and my goal is to make art that radiates a combination of all positive energies in the universe. 

S’Ankh isn’t just a brand. It’s part of my soul and the heart of my journey. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who’s joined me on this path, for allowing my art to become part of your space, your memories, your life. Every purchase helps me keep creating and growing.
